Success for the 2017 edition of National Science Festival

UnivEarthS was very present on the campus of the Paris Diderot University during the 2017 edition of the Science Festival, and hosted many classes as well as the general public thanks to the researchers and students who involved in the event. Exhibitions, conferences and workshops helped everyone to discover the different aspects of the Earth and Universe Sciences which are the domains of our Labex.

Gravitational waves have been honored in this very rich period of discoveries and prices. The IGOSAT interdisciplinary nanosatellite project, which is still highly appreciated, has shown the Labex’s pedagogical involvement towards the students of Paris Diderot. The exhibition “The Physics of Women Over Time” was hailed as a very interesting initiative to showcase women of science forgotten by history. IPGP teams have inaugurated a virtual reality booth around planetary exploration, which has been a hit with all visitors with the Exodunes 360 application and the Mars and Titan simulations. Finally, members of UnivEarthS participated in events to introduce the research professions and gave several conferences.
